(11:42 AM) napleslynn: Had an update from Barb this morning. Don continued to bleed all night so they are with the Urologist right now and he is having more tests done. Barb who is usually cool, calm & collected is a wreck so please contniue your prayers.
This is diamonds4me's husband, Don that needs prayers, and of course the entire family.
*************
(4:36 PM) napleslynn: Don is home again after some treatments to clear out the blood clots and has to lay low. On Wednesday they will do all of the other testing-CAT scan, etc. before they have better idea of what is causing the profuse bleeding.
(4:38 PM) napleslynn: Well, until they know what the root cause is we don't know if that is good or not. Please keep praying for a good outcome.

Portrush shared the following regardng Bob Hollenegg.
[ Speaking of Bob—I spent nearly two hours on the phone with him last night. He is very ill. To his detractors who find it necessary to tear him down so you can look him in the eye, I would suggest spending some time researching the effects of Parkinson’s disease and then repenting for smart aleck remarks. Some day you will indeed be held accountable. To the rest of you, the man can use prayer. In all my years of knowing him, I’ve never heard him this weak or in such pain. It isn’t funny—it is real. ]
I always think of Bob when we say a prayer for the CMKXers and hope that he gets relief from the pain and treatments.

From diamondsr4me
Update on Don: What a whirlwind 4 days this has been, since Don's hospitalization..... We had been told on Monday, in the E.R., that he had Pneumonia.........& he began receiving treatment for that. Now, Pulmonary specialists say's that was WRONG !!! There is something else going on in his Lungs.... not sure yet what. Don had NEW Bi Lateral X Rays of the Lungs + an Echocardiogram of the Heart today. So far, no results. He has been receiving Medicated Nebulizer Inhalations 4 X's daily + Antibiotics. There is still Microscopic blood in his Urine..... a Staph Infection is also indicated. It is not known yet, if the blood is coming from the 5 Kidney Stones or elsewhere. Studies continue with that situation. Don continues on Oxygen, but; the Hospital House Doctor said today that he would like to try and wean him off the Oxygen a little at a time, to see how he does. Then the Pulmonary DR came in & rescinded that order. The Pulmonary DR is Don's Primary Care DR, so we were really, really happy to see him come in this evening around 7:00.... we've been seeing his partner the last 2 days. The PC Doctor has ordered for tomorrow (Friday): A Nuclear Stress Test Another Cardio Test (that I can't remember the name of) A Lung Test The PC Doctor has called our Cardiologist to see Don tomorrow. PC DR is beginning to suspect the "Stent" that was inserted into the Heart in January may be blocked by a clot........ Actually, since Don got the "Stent" he has never felt the same...he's been fatigued & has had difficulty breathing. If you recall, Don had an episode right after the Heart Catherization & Stent, when he was taken back to his Hospital Room..... he had a feeling of an Elephant sitting on his chest & pain + difficulty breathing.... Nurses came immediately & administered Morphine, EKG, BP, etc...& then he was fine again in about 15 minutes. It was assumed at the time, that it must have been a heart spasm, but; now we are questioning if it was more than a spasm. So, in my opinion... tomorrow w/b a BIG day for a Diagnosis. So far, we have NOTHING definitive as to what is going on with him. Keep up your prayers for a proper Diagnosis & a good treatment plan. We know God is in control and already knows what the situation is. We just pray that the DR's will use all these test results and come to a collective conclusion & treatment plan and get Don back on his feet with restored health. I'll keep you posted as soon as we have something definite to report to you.
Barb

(9:36 AM) diamondsr4me: gm Sandi.... just a quick Update on Don.... nothing definitive yet.... He was supposed to have had (3) tests yesterday....another DR came in and Cancelled (2) of the heart tests that had been ordered by our Primary Care DR..... Grrrrrrrrrr....
I am now headed to Hospital to "knock some heads together".... DR's usually come in around 10-2 on Saturday (the nurse said).....
Hate missing MOM's, but; know I'll hear later what was discussed & will keep my Scroll running to read later......
Thank everyone for me for their prayers, but; please tell them to keep the prayers going to God's ear..... Have a good weekend & an exciting/informative MOM.... will miss being there.......

Good evening to all of you: Praise the Lord !!!!! Don is home. Brought him home around 5:00 P.M. today. After all the X-Rays & Tests, the Diagnosis is: Pneumonia (after all) Bronchitis COPD (beginning stage's) There is a Staph Infection in the Urinary Tract. They will not do anything about the Kidney Stones for now. I inquired about doing Lithotripsy and the DR said they don't do that unless the Stone is 5mm & unable to pass...... Don's largest Stone is 4mm.(just shy of the 5mm). The other stones are 2mm & 3mm's Don is on a very powerful Antibiotic that costs $36.71 for each little pill. He is on a powerful Prednisone (Steroid) for his Lungs. Another type of Antibiotic for the Urinary Tract Infection. He has (2) Devices that he needs to "suck / blow" into for his Lungs (10 times a day ea). While in the Hospital, he received 8 Medicated Mist Nebulizer treatments every day. As you can imagine, he is still very tired & has already taken two naps in the last 4 1/2 hours. He has follow-up app'ts with the Pulmonary DR & Cardiologist & Urologist within the next 1-2 weeks. The Hospital DR said that all tests for the Heart came back good + Plus his Oxygen level in his blood stream got built up to an acceptable level, so they doubt that any of his breathing problems involved the Stent that was put in last January.
He also said, that he believed that this Lung problem was likely beginning back in January & it was just coincidental that the Stent was done at the same time and that it took this long to really manifest itself to where Don just got really, really sick fast... So, that was really wonderful news. We thank you for your many prayers on Don's behalf, as well as holding me up before the Lord as well....... it was a really exhausting week, besides the Bleeding episode of the last two & a half weeks.
We ask that you continue to keep Don in your prayers that these medications will do what they are designed to do and that Don's health will be fully restored. Don't know what we would have done without each & every prayer. God is GOOD !! XO, Barbara

Please say prayer for Matt's Mother-In-Law...
Cherri's Mom is in bad shape. Please say a prayer for her (Bette) as they prepare to perform surgery on her broken hip. The biggest issue is whether or not her heart is strong enough.
