I want to update everyone on Operation Truth. This week I received the following email from Tom Gates:
Steve,
I am inundated with work since the turn of the year. I have had an opportunity to talk to several of the “investors” in CMKM during the past three weeks. I have also been reviewing the materials that have been forwarded. The more I look into this project the more excited I get about trying to find the logical conclusion for everyone.
Because of my schedule, I will be working on your matter as much as I can. I would definitely like to have a three way conversation with Dave. Would suggest we do that within the next two weeks. Is there a time better than another for the two of you.
The contributions continue to come in. We are over the $10K level. I am going to require the assistance of one of my colleagues which will come out of the ODC’s (expenses).

As you can see, we are very close to our funding goal of $15,000. Some have mused $5,000 is too much for expenses. The figure is mine, not Mr. Gates'. At the time I calculated it, two travel trips were deemed necessary by Mr. Gates. In two different conversations, Tom told me he would do his best to keep expenses down. No first class flights, luxury hotels or meals. In our last conversation (before I choose the number), he mentioned a possible 3rd trip to Washington D. C. After our conversations, I fell these trips are essential for his investigation. You can also see from the email a portion will go to a colleague. I'm confident we will get our moneys worth.
With our CMKM Hero still matching donations 100%, we are not far away. Combined with our matching donor, we need roughly $2,000 more to make this investigation a reality. So if we want real answers from a true professional, this is our chance. Let's not let it get away. Dave Vangunten has spent countless hours every day for the past 4 months, preparing a reference library and an Investigator Guidance Package for Mr. Gates investigation. He's done an incredible job and I could not have done this without him. Thanks to Dave and all the donors who have brought us so close to our goal. Let's finish this off and turn Tom loose.
